AI Disclosure Notice

Transparency notice for AI-assisted features. Informational only and not legal advice. Last updated: April 22, 2026.

What AI Does in QAPIHub

QAPIHub uses Anthropic's Claude AI to assist facility teams with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks. Specifically, the AI:

  • Answers questions about CMS regulations (F-tags, 42 CFR Part 483) for SNFs and Colorado CDPHE requirements (6 CCR 1011-1) for ALFs
  • Generates draft investigation reports when incidents are logged
  • Assembles draft meeting packets for QAA committee (SNF) and quality oversight committee (ALF) meetings
  • Creates draft QAPI plans based on facility self-assessments
  • Produces morning briefings summarizing overnight quality data
  • Calculates survey readiness scores and deficiency risk predictions
  • Monitors regulatory sources for changes that may affect your facility

All AI outputs are clearly labeled as drafts and include a disclaimer requiring human review before use as official documentation.

Current Product Boundary

  • Use de-identified workflow information only. Do not rely on QAPIHub's AI features for resident names, medical record numbers, or other directly identifiable health information.
  • No BAA is currently offered. QAPIHub does not currently offer AI-assisted workflows under a HIPAA business associate agreement.
  • Law and guidance can change. Colorado and federal AI requirements are evolving, so organizations should review this workflow with counsel before relying on it for regulated use cases.

What AI Does NOT Do

  • Does not make care decisions. The AI provides regulatory and quality management guidance only. It does not direct patient care, prescribe treatments, or make clinical determinations.
  • Does not accept PHI as part of the intended workflow. QAPIHub is designed around de-identified and facility-level quality information rather than resident records.
  • Does not replace clinical judgment. All AI-generated documents require review and approval by qualified facility staff before use.
  • Does not autonomously submit documents to regulators. No AI output is automatically filed or reported. Human approval is always required.
  • Does not provide legal advice. Regulatory references and summaries are informational only and must be checked against primary sources and counsel.
